Conference Chat
I think we should be able to have a chat with more then one person at one time in one convo. Sometimes i'll be talking about the same thing in multiple windows and it just seems annoying.
Status: under reviewThis is an interesting idea. it takes the idea of talking about what interests you and turns it into more of a discussion.
If we get enough support from the community this is definitively something we'd look into.

The ability to save or log chats might be nice.
The option to save or log a chat might be nice, that way you can find important bits of text such as book or movie recommendations people have given you, website links, external contact information, or have the ability to submit saved text to site support in the event of a problem.
Status: startedGreat idea! We're working on it:) We know how important this is and we're working on doing it to ensure user privacy. It will take at least a month to implement.

there should be a limit on the number of posts a guest can make per day.

Currently we have an algorithm to ensure that only 5 posts per user will appear per session. We are working on improving and tweaking the algorithm.

I would like the home page to autorefresh with updated topics and posts.
I think it would be nice if the home page would auto refresh every couple of minutes to display new and updated topics. As it stand now, I have to manually refresh the page to get this update.

Expanded profile page
It would be nice if our profile pages were expanded in general. Perhaps add a biography section and a "wall" for our friends to post on. Someone else mentioned customization: this would be a good idea too.

I agree with you! And this is something we are trying to encourage.
Having said that, we want people to come to AnybodyOutThere with whatever may be on their mind and talk about it.
We want this to be a space for anyone who wants to find like-minded people to talk about what interests him/her.

delete an inapproriate/unnecessary reply on my post
i'm sick and tired of posting something without some one replying with something either stupid, off topic, disgusting or inappropriate on my posts. i can only delete the post but i rather delete the comments instead.
Thanks for this feedback. While we do understand that this can be frustrating we are trying to encourage debate and discussion.
We are , however, planning on introducing a system to help us moderate comments. So watch this space:)

I would like to be able to collapse or hide the Notification and Conversation Logs.
I would like to be able to collapse or hide the notification and conversation logs on the main page. Simply to provide me with additional real estate on the screen. I do not make use of the information there enough for me to want it on the screen all the time.

How do i find people to talk with who are in my age group?
Status: under reviewWe have a filter button which can be used to not only to search for people in your age group but also to search for people by country ; keyword and username. A very useful little button :)
The filter can be found by clicking on the post button. This will take you to the search results page. Under the popular tags , to the right , you'll see a fillter results button.
We are reviewing it , however , to see how we can make it clearer.

UK location/country selection.
I would like to be able to choose my actual country rather than just UK. England is my country and we should be able to choose this aswell as Scotland, Wales and Ireland

A chat later/busy option instead of just accept decline it seems so rude you may just be too busy!
I sometimes want to talk to someone but am already talking to a couple more, dont want to just decline but say call me back or busy right now that should be possible with a new button and message in message box right?

Thank you for this feedback. This is an issue which is close to our heart and is also of concern to us. We have a no-nonsense policy when it comes to abuse and sexual predators.
We rely on the community for this. If you think someone on the site is abusing users or using the site to solicit underage users please contact us.

There should be an option to delete your account
There is an option to delete an account. Simply send an email to: support@anybodyoutthere.com or you can use the contact us form by clicking the contact us link.

Keyword Search!
There are auto-tags for most posts. Why can't we see a tag cloud or do a keyword search?

I'll suggest the tag -cloud to the team. It's a good idea.
As for being able to search for a keyword , you'll be glad to know you can do this! Click the post button. Then click on filter , to the right below popular tags. As simple as that.

we should b able t search 4 certain users 2 c if they on logged on
if they are busy or invisible the chat icon should not come up

Simply click the post button. Below the popular tags , to the right , you'll see a filter button. Click that to open the filter and then type the username you're looking for.
As for the chat icon appearing when someone is invisible , that shouldn't happen. I'll get our team to check that out!

IP address blocking for repeat "guest" offenders
This is something we did try. It wasn't too successful as we found some people got around it by hiding their IP or coming from a different IP.
If you have any other suggestions for how we can block problematic users , we're all ears.
